Suite Life
Suite Life is a collaborative experience where teams of attendees work together in G Suite to launch a new app.
Attendees become employees of the “Light It Up” company, which is developing an app to manage smart light bulbs. There are five different roles an attendee can choose from and three different devices the attendees can use to complete their task: mobile, tablet, and desktop. As each attendee completes a task by watching video demos of product features, lights begin to shine. After the entire team completes all tasks, the entire light bulb above illuminates.
Primary Audience: Developer, System Administrator, DevOps, and IT Decision Makers.
Key Message: Meet G Suite—intelligent apps that transform the way you work. G Suite opens new ways of collaborating, so your teams can achieve more together and faster.
Cloud Worker
The Cloud Worker narrative articulates how a modern worker operates today (collaborates, always online, uses web-based apps). Chrome (devices, OS and browser) has the technology that businesses need to enable their Cloud Workers to be successful. Attendees can choose between four different Cloud Workers and learn how they can accomplish their daily tasks via the cloud.
These experiences were installed at Google NEXT—where customers, partners, developers, influencers and the greater global cloud community come to get inspired and learn about Google Cloud Platform. NEXT was three days packed full of talks, bootcamps and breakout sessions. There were more than 23,000 people in attendance.
I designed the user experience, interfaces and illustrations for both these product demos.
On the Go
From organizing the internet to mapping the world, Google always aimed to build technology that is useful to real people in real situations. With the launch of Google Assistant, now all of Google's tools and technology is available at the tip of your tongue, where you want it, when you want it.
This is the story we helped share at CES 2019: that the Google Assistant is the most helpful assistant for your everyday life.
In this 35' interactive diorama, users explore how Google Assistant can help while they’re on the go. In various vignettes, users see how Assistant can perform common everyday tasks, like booking a Lyft, checking into a flight, or booking a hotel room.
Users engage directly with a Pixel device with their voice to have a real-time interaction with Assistant. Once Assistant completes the task, the users see a physical reaction in the city diorama based on the initial query. These interactions include animatronics and scenic lighting.
I designed all 25 custom illustrative components in this 35' diorama. I helped concept the different interactions for each query and worked with the engineers to design around the different mechanical gears, LED lights, and LCD screens. I also created the production ready file, separating each individual layer for laser cutting.
